Maria Sparacino is an FLC research analyst and was awarded the Florida International University FLC Legal Psychology Fellowship for 2024-25.
Sparacino graduated summa cum laude from Coastal Carolina University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a minor in Intelligence and National Security Studies. Sparacino received her Master of Science degree in Legal Psychology from FIU and is currently a Ph.D. Candidate there.
Sparacino has conducted research on the effects of alcohol on interrogations, how investigative interviewing techniques influence eyewitness precision, and false memories. She has also worked for the High-Value Detainee Interrogation group on a multi-year project investigating the use of interpreters during interrogations.
