Dr. Geri Fischman is widely regarded as one of the best and foremost jury consultants in the nation and is a founding partner of Focus Litigation Consulting, LLC. As a leading authority in juror behavior, jury decision-making, and trial strategy, Dr. Fischman specializes in the analysis of complex evidentiary and witness issues in high-stakes civil and criminal litigation, including tort, contract, fraud, intellectual property, professional malpractice, banking/securities, and product liability matters nationwide. Recognized as a preeminent expert in jury research and trial consulting, she works at the intersection of psychology, law, and persuasion science.

Dr. Fischman’s work has been published in premier academic and applied social-science journals, including Law and Human Behavior and Forensic Science. She is a nationally sought-after speaker on jury research and trial consulting, regularly lecturing across the country, including at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Trial Lawyers Conference in Washington, D.C. She also teaches legal psychology at Florida International University and jury selection at the University of Miami School of Law as part of its Litigation Skills Program.
Dr. Fischman earned her Ph.D. in Legal Psychology from Florida International University, where she conducted research on cognition, perception, and juror decision-making and received the FIU College of Arts and Sciences Psychology Best Thesis Award. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, served as an editor of the University of Miami Law Review, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Florida with a dual degree in English (Linguistics/Writing) and Criminology.
Before founding Focus Litigation Consulting, Dr. Fischman practiced complex commercial litigation at one of Florida’s largest and most prestigious law firms, representing corporate and institutional clients in state, federal, appellate, and international forums across the United States.
Dr. Fischman is a member of the Implicit Bias Research Team of the American Society of Trial Consultants (ASTC)and the ASTC Civil Jury Project Task Force. She has also served on the Florida Bar Eleventh Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee, as membership co-chair of the Miami-Dade Florida Association of Women Lawyers, and as a board member and Past President of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, where she spearheaded multiple award-winning programs.
